The new storytelling series, themed in the seven deadly sins, returns this January for its second show after premiering last month in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood!

Under the spinning command of the “wheel of sin”, each show will have several storytellers, readers and comedians, all performing pieces along the theme of an assigned sin.  Pieces can be that of creative non-fiction, fiction, short essay, mixed media, bad memories or comedy.  Could be funny, could be intense, might be a confession or two, and above all, will surely entertain you!

The next Seven Deadly Sins will be held on January 8th, 2013 at Café Mustache, locate in the Logan Square neighborhood at 2313 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647.  The show begins at 8pm and will run an hour and a half.  Seven Deadly Sins is produced and hosted by Chicago comedian Angela Vela.  Admission is free for the show and donations for the performers are welcome.  Café Mustache offers full café service along with a food menu and alcohol beverages.

Angela Vela has been a stand-up comedian in Chicago for three years and is a member of Broad Shoulders Productions, a local film and theater company.  She has produced and hosted several other showcases in Chicago, including The Chicago Womens Funny Festival, Chicago Comedy Expo and The Sunday Night Sex Show, currently in its fourth year at The Burlington.  Angela is currently involved in short films, sketches, and theater, and recently finished filming a second webseries pilot here in Chicago.
